 It is a brunch kind of recipe that fills the tummy heavily and
specially eaten and prepared on holidays in India.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups of water
  • Oil for fry and 2 tbsp to prepare chanay
  • ½ kg daal chana-clean, wash and soak overnight
  • 2 to 3 finely sliced onions
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp of ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tomatoes-cut into halves

Directions:

  1. Mix white and wheat flour, add ½ tsp salt and knead with some water

  2. Leave it for 20 minutes and heat oil to deep fry
  3. Shape into small chapattis and fry till light brown
  4. Heat 2tbsp oil in a separate pan
  5. Brown onions and add all the spices with daal chana and 1 cup water
  6. Mix well and cook till tender and water dries
  7. Serve hot puri with chana curry.
