Discada it´s a typical dish in the region named La Laguna (The Lagoon), which is situated in the Northeast of Mexico. People use to prepare discada on weekends or in meetings with friends or family.

  • .44 Lb of Ground beef
  • 4 Sausages
  • .44 Lb of Turkey ham
  • .30 Lb of Chorizo (highly-seasoned pork sausage)
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 4 Jalapeno chili
  • 5.07210 fl oz of beer
  • 2 fl oz of Tomato puree
  • 4 Spoons of Oil
  • Salt


  1. First of all wash the fruits and vegetables, then cut in small pieces the cold cuts, the tomato, the onion and the jalapeno chili. After this put oil in a pan and add the ground beef and salt, when this is cooked add the seasoned pork sausage and leave it to simmer.

  2. Once is cooked add tomato, onion and jalapeno chili, after 8 minutes add the tomato puree and the beer and leave it to simmer for 5 minutes just for the ingredients absorb flavor.
  3. You could eat it alone or with tortilla, but is more delicious with tortilla. If you want it spicier just add more chili.
